Are you ready to get some discounts! I hope so because it will be available this weekend only. Posted on the US PlayStation Blog, the discount will be available from January 23rd at 9AM PST to January 26th at 9AM. You will be able to buy pretty much anything you little heart desires except subscriptions for PS Plus, Music Unlimited, PS Now and rental video content. Also, do keep in mind that your purchases must be done my 9AM on the 26th or it will be no good.

Video Games – Ping Of The Week – Christmas DDoS Attacks

If you owned a console or got a brand new one during the holidays, you probably had a hard time getting into the networks, PlayStation Network and Xbox Live that is. If you didn’t know yet, these networks got a DDoS attack from a certain group that will remain unnamed because, let’s be honest, they don’t need more credit than they already have. In laymen’s terms, a DDos attack is a Distributed Denial of Service which means that it renders a service unavailable.

Video Games – PSA – Sony Gives Back for Outage


Last week, Sony announced to all PlayStation subscribers that there will be compensated for the outage during Christmas caused by a DDoS (Distributed Denial of Service) attack during that period. As stated on the US PlayStation blog, users will be getting an extra 5 days to their PS Plus subscription. This little offering will be valid to full on member and even people who only have a free trial subscription. Nothing will have to be done for this, it will automatically be added to all members of the plan.
