Toe Jam and Earl: Back in the Groove is the official sequel to the original Toe Jam and Earl back in 1991. The game features a mix of 2D/3D animations and features the iconic level design from the original, but better. Toe Jam and Earl’s story is the old classic “Take your friends on a spaceship ride to show them planet Earth, press the wrong button and the Earth is in millions of pieces.” The game will support 4 players online multiplayer and couch co-op.

I remember having seen some of my brother’s friends playing the TH&E games back when I was younger and really found what I saw funny. Now, looking at what Greg Johnson has done so far, I bet fans of the series will be pleased to re-enter earth’s atmosphere and relive their childhood memories. Personally, I find the art style really amusing and retro, and you still get that funky feeling from the original game, well from what we can see so far. Go help the game out by backing the project and enjoy this blast from the past.
