About a month back, I mentioned a game by the name of Life is Strange and showed you the first trailer. Earlier today, Dontnod Entertainment released the 1st of a 3 part Dev Diary videos because they had a lot of demand for a behind-the-scene look at what goes on at Dontnod. Take a peek at what goes into making Life is Strange to give it that indie movies feel to it.

I fell in love with the game when I saw the first trailer because I’m a sucker for story-driven games and this one sure does look interesting. IGN had a chance to go hands-on with a slice of the game and explain that the player has the choice to change his decision. Also, they mentioned that all those decision might not have a short-term impact but might have consequences later in the game.

If you’re interested in picking up Life is Strange, you will be able to do so later this month on January 30th and will let you play the first episode of 5. Unlike Telltale’s format, the guys and gals at Dontnod wanted to let the player time to make their decisions before taking position. Max, the protagonist of the game, has the ability to shift time and let the player change decisions and such. Another interesting tidbit of information about the lead is that when they started taking this game to publishers, some of them wanted the main character to be a male instead of a female character. This is explained in the video above.

I really can’t wait to play the game which will be available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC. If you pre-order the Steam version of the game before January 29th, you will get a 10% discount on the season pass. Are you guys going to play Dontnod’s next tittle?
