A couple days ago, I was looking thru my Netflix queue and I found and interesting movie with an actor I really enjoy. Here is my review of Assault on Wall Street.
We follow Jim Baxford(Dominic Purcell, Prison Break), a security officer for an armoured truck company. Like many Americans, he is faced with debts and, in his case, has a wife that is recovering from a tumor which furthers there debts. After multiple events, he takes his pain to the giants on Wall Street and he has a lot of people in his line of sight.
Please do keep in mind this is not a full on action movie like the tittle suggests. Having said that, Assault on Wall Street is a real emotional roller coaster almost right from the start. You really feel for the protagonist of the flick and I would say you understand why he would go to such measures. I even got a bit choked up at the breaking point of the movie.
One of thee complaints I got is the pacing. Some of the sequences seem to be shown too quickly and if you’re not paying attention, you might miss something. You do feel however that the characters are emotionally involved and there isn’t really any bad acting and unnecessary scenes.
In the end, the movie is a much watch and will take you on a fun ride. It’s not the movie of the year but it is still a fun hour and a half or so movie.
