Melancholy Republic is a JRPG inspired, cinematic story driven game that takes inspiration from games like Final Fantasy and Chrono Trigger. You play as a young female protagonist named Claire C. Lockridge and you must save the country of corruption. To do so, you must travel through the city of Lorna and conquer 4 distinct chapters of memorable gameplay and story. The game features sequences of exploration and mini games to help you get at the bottom of the problem at hand.

Melancholy Republic seems to have an intriguing premise that has the potential to attract many players of the Final Fantasy community and alike. I enjoy the premise of the game as well as the graphical approach to the game that brings back to some of my favorite games from older generation consoles.
